The District Theater

The District Theater bridges the gap between audiences and artists and builds a stronger arts community.  In partnership with the Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF) and The Indianapolis Theatre Fringe Festival (IndyFringe), we are committed to preserving the facilities and cultural heritage of the Massachusetts Avenue site, as well as striving to provide the best venue for live performances in the Mass Ave Cultural District. Please sign up for our newsletter to keep up to date on our performances, fundraising efforts, and events.

Roll out the red carpet!

The Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF) in partnership with IndyFringe, local donors and businesses is proud to open The District Theater in July 2018. Located in the same facility as the much-beloved Theater On the Square, we plan to continue the cultural legacy that has served so many Indianapolis residents. To that end, we are opening the doors to patrons, performers and production groups.

Please feel free to drop us a line if you’d like to discuss a rental of our facilities.
